Before beginning construction of an Alouette ÉcoTerra home, a feasibility and optimization study must be conducted to ensure the project meets the ÉcoTerra home standards and requirements.
A full review is the first step in the construction of your ÉcoTerra home and must be carried out by Alouette Homes’ architects and engineers.
This review includes making a financial commitment and permits Alouette Homes to invest the necessary steps to thoroughly analyze your project.
This review of your ÉcoTerra project includes an analysis, by engineers and architects, of your land in terms of its orientation, level, topography, slope and layout. Every ÉcoTerra home is unique. Integration of the appropriate technologies requires study by specialists: an architect specializing in passive solar heating, an engineer who specializes in ventilation, an engineer specializing in photovoltaic solar panels, an engineer specializing in energy consumption calculations and a specialist for the HOT-2000 energy consumption simulation.
This file review is necessary first step for every ÉcoTerra construction project and requires an investment on your part of between $12 000 and $15 000.
The additional investment for an ÉcoTerra house, over and above that of a home of equivalent size and features, can reach $90,000 to $125,000. That investment allows you to own a home you can be proud of, protects the environment for future generations, and lets you enjoy the unique advantage of owning a home that consumes no more energy than it produces annually.
